Apposite Announces Refresh of 1 Gbps WAN Emulators
LOS ANGELES, CA (Sept. 9, 2013) – Apposite Technologies, the leader in enterprise-class network simulation products, today announced two new WAN emulation models, the Netropy N91 and Linktropy 8510,
offering higher performance and enhanced reliability over the previous Netropy N90 and Linktropy 8500 models.
Apposite’s Netropy and Linktropy WAN emulators simulate bandwidth, latency, packet loss, and other critical network impairments to test the performance of applications in the lab. By combining
unparalleled ease-of-use with unmatched pricing, Apposite makes it possible for network managers, IT administrators, and application developers to learn within minutes how applications will perform
over a variety of real-world networks.
Both the N91 and L8510 offer four pairs of gigabit Ethernet emulation ports in a 1U-szied chassis. The Linktropy 8510 simulates four separate links up to 1 Gbps each. The Netropy N91 simulates up to
15 separate links through each pair of ports for a total of up to 60 separate links. Both models forward an aggregate of 8 Gbps at full line late and are available with either RJ45 or SFP ports for
easy connectivity to any type of copper or fiber network.
The Netropy N91 and Linktropy 8510 are available now for immediate delivery. Pricing remains unchanged from the previous N90 and 8500 models.
